For those of you who have read my memoir, Lofty: My Life in Short, you will know that I have faced my personal battles with gambling addiction, specifically with poker machines. They are insidious, addictive, hideous machines and can be truly destructive to yourself and those you love.
Dave and Eve from Cloudcatcher Media, in conjunction with Screenworks Australia and Create NSW, are working on a short film titled Welcome to the Machine detailing the terrible scourge of poker machines.
I am so incredibly proud and flattered to be the voice of the ’machine’ for this film project. Filming for Welcome To The Machine is happening right now in Bryon Bay. Keep an eye out for it in coming months.
